I had thought that the recent nor'easter might have interrupted their blooming, but apparently wind and rain foster good blooms.
I love this prayer from the Church of England online Daily Prayer: Send your holy angels to watch over us, O God, that on our lips will be found your truth and in our hearts your love; so we may ever taste your goodness in the land of the living; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
On a much louder note - this is the time when juvenile red shouldered hawks are leaving their nests, learning to fend for themselves while still calling to their parents - a lot of screeches back and forth! And not to be outdone, the resident blue jays often mimic the hawk cries. The nor'easter didn't quieten this noise either!
